Navigating the Court of Protection deputy process

Becoming a deputy is an important responsibility as it involves managing someone’s affairs when they are no longer able to do so themselves due to mental incapacity. At Porter Dodson we are here to guide and support you through the entire process of applying to be a deputy.

There are two types of deputies:

  1. Deputy for Property and Financial Affairs.
  2. Deputy for Personal Welfare

The type of deputyship you are given will depend on the individual circumstances of you and the vulnerable person. It can be a complex and stressful process but at Porter Dodson our expert team can make the process as easy as possible for you.
