I qualified as a Solicitor in 2011, having trained at a South West firm. I joined Porter Dodson in 2015 and specialise in disputed Wills, Estate and Trust matters.
My client base is varied. I advise Executors, Personal Representatives, Trustees (including Professional Trustees), Beneficiaries, and Charities.
I have experience of handling a broad range of cases, including Will validity challenges, burial disputes, executor and trustee disputes, administration disputes and inheritance disputes, including those under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975.
I take the time to understand my clients’ objectives and tailor my advice accordingly. I will always take the time to run through the options available, while focusing on the cost benefit.
I am a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).
Outside work, I enjoy travelling and spending time with my young family.
I found everyone polite, efficient and friendly. I hadn't been looking forward to the meeting but you were able to put me at ease and explain the situation clearly.
Very good team of solicitors. Very friendly and helpful. I would recommend them to family and friends.
Cara Hough is ‘an extremely thorough, competent and practical practitioner’ who ‘goes the extra mile to achieve the best result’.
We are very happy with the service and expertise provided by both Cara and prior to that, Stephen Wray. They were both very efficient and we achieved the result we had hoped for. Money well spent!
We found Cara extremely approachable. Particular merit should go to Cara over the manner in which our mediation was conducted. Her determination to achieve the best possible outcome was commendable.
Approachable and professional. Cara was an excellent, firm and determined advocate during the mediation.
Cara Hough was first class. I could not have wished for anyone better. Very professional in everything she did.
