I studied law at the University of the West of England and undertook my Legal Practice Course at Bournemouth University. I qualified as a solicitor in March 2014. I joined Porter Dodson in July 2019 as an associate, having worked for another local firm for over seven years.
I act for private individuals and for companies, who wish to buy, sell or remortgage property. I enjoy working with first time buyers as they make the exciting first step onto the property ladder, whether that be using one of the options available to them, such as shared ownership or help to buy schemes.
I pride myself on being friendly and approachable. I like to build a rapport with my clients, as getting to know them and their circumstances is a useful part of the job. Being able to listen to their requirements, build trust and learning the reasons why they may be moving is a great tool when negotiating moving dates. I like to take a practical and positive approach to work.
I am an avid rugby fan and enjoy supporting the Exeter Chiefs. I also enjoy long walks in the countryside with family and two spaniels.
We have greatly appreciated your kind help in piloting us through the stressful business of house buying and selling. All your communications were extremely clear and helpful, leaving us confident we were in good hands. It's so easy to look back and wonder why we found it daunting when the outcomes were so smooth.
I would like to thank you, Kirstie and Karen for all your help on my purchase and my sale and for your advice regarding all the required information needed from the management companies before proceeding. I do feel that I was fully informed by you and understood completely what was required and why.
Just a quick note to thank you very much indeed for all the legal work carried out to effect the sale of my late sister’s property. From my point of view everything went very smoothly for which I am extremely grateful.
Many thanks for enabling a smooth transition in what could have been a fraught situation. You both have my gratitude and appreciation.
After a very difficult year I received excellent service, phone calls were returned and professional advice given. Very good value for money.
A very professional and friendly service. We were kept informed throughout the process which was very reassuring. We will certainly use your services in the future. You managed to maintain communications through a pandemic - very impressive, thank you!
We have been delighted with Zara over the sale of my mother's cottage in Seavington. She is always prompt replying to my queries and would have completed weeks ago if it wasn't for the "useless" (to put it mildly) solicitors on the other side. She was very speedy with the sale in August of my partner's house in Bower Hinton, hence my engaging her. Definitely money well spent!
As expected - amazing, professional and efficient service by Zara.
Having been recommended to go to Porter Dodson, I can now see why and your practice would be my 'go to' solicitor of choice in the future. I was very impressed by Zara and was only sad that I couldn't use her for my purchase as the company were acting for the vendor. Obviously great minds think alike!
Everyone that I met at Porter Dodson was friendly, kind and helpful. I felt as if nothing was too much trouble. I was kept up to date and was pleasantly surprised at the bill! My friend has recently had experience dealing with another firm of solicitors and did not have such a good outcome. I will certainly recommend you. Thank you.
First Class Service. Zara and the team did a great job under very difficult circumstances.
