Emma Jewell

I joined Porter Dodson in December 2017. I qualified as a solicitor in 2017, after completing my training contract in-house at a national business based in Bristol.

Before my training contract, I worked within the business as a member of the risk management team, assisting the Compliance and Regulatory Manager. This experience allowed me to understand how a business works, from the shop floor to the boardroom.

Working in-house has given me a wide range of experience in a number of commercial and corporate related matters, including advising on terms of business; commercial contracts; distribution agreements; trade mark matters; shareholder agreements and articles of association.

I pride myself on building a strong rapport with my clients. For me, the most important thing is understanding my client’s objectives and, in doing so, tailoring advice and solutions to meet their business needs.
