The Festival, taking place from 1st to 8th May 2025, is a cornerstone of Sherborne’s vibrant arts calendar, bringing world-class musical performances to the heart of Dorset.

As a firm deeply rooted in the local community, Porter Dodson is proud to continue its support of this inspiring celebration of music and the arts. The Festival is renowned for its wide-ranging programme, featuring everything from classical and choral music to jazz, swing, and contemporary genres.

Sarah Stone, Partner at Porter Dodson, commented “We are delighted to be the headline sponsor of the Sherborne Abbey Festival again this year, supporting an event that brings world-class music and culture to the heart of our community. As a firm with deep roots in the town, we are proud to help sustain the arts and celebrate the festival’s role in enriching Sherborne and the surrounding area”.

Established as a not-for-profit charitable organisation, the Sherborne Abbey Festival is run by a dedicated team of volunteers and aims to deliver exceptional musical experiences while supporting local music initiatives—particularly those involving young people. Since its inception, the Festival has raised over £300,000 for music-based charitable causes and scholarships.
