Porter Dodson Solicitors is pleased to announce the promotion of Clare Sanderson to Partner in the Private Client team, effective from 1st October 2026.
Clare joined Porter Dodson in 2014 following her relocation to Somerset and has since established herself as the firm's leading trusts specialist. She heads the firm's Trusts and Tax service, providing expert advice to trustees, beneficiaries and families on the creation, administration and taxation of trusts. She is also a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Based in the firm's Wellington office, Clare advises on a wide range of complex trust matters, including discretionary trusts, life interest trusts, trusts for vulnerable beneficiaries, charitable trusts and personal injury trusts. Her expertise extends to trust administration, taxation, compliance requirements and acting alongside professional trustees to ensure trusts are managed effectively and in accordance with their legal obligations.
Clare's promotion reflects both her individual achievements and the continued growth of Porter Dodson's Trust team which has doubled in size over the past few years. Under her leadership, the Trusts team supports individuals, families and professional advisers with specialist guidance on protecting assets, preserving wealth and planning for future generations.
