Porter Dodson was pleased to host its first Padel Tennis tournament last week at City Padel in Taunton.
The event welcomed 22 teams to the club, primarily comprised of new-comers to the sport, and with fantastic support and coaching from Kieran Muir, head coach at the club, we enjoyed what turned out to be a competitive afternoon of padel. It was a great opportunity to visit the newest padel venue in Taunton, and was really intended for those that consider themselves beginners at padel to be able to have a go. The energy and enthusiasm that come to the courts made for high-scoring and close games, and provided great entertainment for those on the side lines.
Congratulations to Craig Skinner from Amberstone Financial Planning whose team lifted the trophy after 6 exciting matches.
The event raised £680 for Porter Dodson’s Taunton office charity, Rethink Mental Illness and plans are in place to meet on the courts again soon.
