I joined Porter Dodson’s Trusts and Estates department in June 2013 having worked for another large law firm for sixteen years, during which time I gained my CILEX Level 3 Certificate and Professional Diploma in Law and Practice.
I have been assisting clients, both young and elderly, with their Wills, Powers of Attorney and Trust issues. I have extensive experience in advising both Personal Representatives and Beneficiaries regarding estate administration, including mitigating Inheritance Tax where possible, estate planning and in connection with intestate estates.
I also specialise in Court of Protection work and I have assisted many clients in making applications to the Court of Protection on behalf of a friend or family member whilst also managing the affairs of individuals under a Deputyship Order.
My experience in these areas allows me to act for individuals and families at what can be a difficult time. I am happy to meet with clients in the office, or at their homes where they might struggle to visit us, to ensure that they can give their instructions and take advice as best suits their situation.
I am a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP).
