I joined Porter Dodson in August 2021 after completing my LLB Law degree at the University of Plymouth. My interests throughout my studies and career prospects have been focused on family law, and I was a volunteer at the University of Plymouth Family Law Clinic – a project aimed to tackle access to legal advice and give pro bono advice to the public.
I work in the Children Team, dealing with care proceedings involving local authorities and Children’s Social Care. As a legal assistant, I aid the solicitors in the team with their cases and liaise with clients and professionals.
In my work, my primary value is making sure clients feel listened to and offering reassurance throughout any proceedings, alongside providing clear and practical legal advice. By taking an attentive and welcoming approach, I am able to make sure their objectives are fully supported and met.
Outside of work, I spend a lot of time with my friends and family. I enjoy both reading and writing fictional stories. I have not yet published anything but that really would be a dream!
I required a solicitor to help me through pre-court proceedings for myself and my very young child. Lauren Hole has been consistently supportive, caring and kind over the last 6 months. One thing I would like to stress, is how absolutely non judgemental she has been through this incredibly difficult time. Which I'm extremely grateful for. It truly highlights her professionalism.
