Julia Perrins - Client Case Studies

Posted: 1 January 2026

Author: Julia Perrins

Category: Family & Childcare

Julia’s recent work includes:

  • Acting for a client with assets in excess of £20 million.  Securing a settlement which allowed the husband's business (which was the main asset) to continue and meet the ongoing financial needs of both parties.

  • Representing a farmer in a Schedule 1 Children Act 1989 Application. The mother of the child sought a substantial sum from the father as on paper he had assets in excess of £2 million. The final settlement was £40k.

  • Representing a husband in a Collaborative Law case. Both parties wanted to remain amicable and the end result was that they continued in business together despite the divorce. Both parties agreed that the Collaborative Law process was very beneficial and the end result was unlikely to have been achieved in a more acrimonious Court process.

  • Representing a wife in the Collaborative Law process and obtaining an actuarial report to ascertain appropriate percentages for a Pension Sharing Order. The parties agreed the wife should receive all the equity in the former matrimonial home to rehouse herself, given the husband had a larger mortgage earning capacity. Again this case illustrated the part Collaborative Law plays in reaching amicable solutions if the parties are willing to be fair to each other in the process.
