Partner
Commercial Property
I am a Partner in the Commercial Property team at Porter Dodson, specialising in property finance, development work and commercial landlord and tenant matters.
I qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and have built extensive experience advising on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions throughout my career. My practice has a particular focus on development finance, bridging and investment funding, portfolio refinancing and restructuring, Islamic finance backed transactions, Commercial Landlord and Tenant matters and creative restructuring.
My work regularly involves supporting clients on high value, fast moving and multi party transactions where a clear understanding of both legal and commercial drivers is essential. I act for developers, investors, funders, landlords, tenants and business owners supporting on all aspects of their real estate requirements, from site acquisition, re-finance/bridging and funding through to development, and commercial leasing transactions. Many of my clients are involved in development projects, as well as complex property investment and commercial leasing matters.
I take a practical and commercially focused approach to delivering legal advice. My priority is to understand what clients are trying to achieve and to help them reach their objectives efficiently and with confidence. I work closely with clients and their wider professional teams to identify solutions, manage risk and keep transactions moving, particularly in complex or time sensitive deals. Clients value my straightforward advice, responsiveness and collaborative approach.
Outside of work, I am actively involved in initiatives promoting equality, diversity and inclusion within the legal profession and the wider business community. I am a board member of the Ethnic Solicitors South West Network where I support and represent the local legal community, helping to promote collaboration, professional development and engagement across the region.
I also share insights on legal practice and the property sector on LinkedIn contributing to discussions on career development, industry trends and the evolving nature of the profession.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling and exploring new places. I value opportunities to connect with others and contribute to both professional and community focused initiatives.
