Bio

I joined Porter Dodson in 2026 as an Associate within the Court of Protection team, following 13 years at my previous firm. I qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2022 after graduating from the Open University with a first class law degree in 2016. I am a fully accredited member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers (formerly Solicitors for the Elderly).

I specialise in supporting clients and their loved ones with issues surrounding the loss of mental capacity. I advise on applications to the Court of Protection, including the appointment of Deputies, replacement trustees, applications by existing attorneys and deputies and sale of property requests. I also administer the firm’s professional attorneyship and deputyship appointments.  

I previously dealt with Trust Administration and Residential Conveyancing work, which now supports my specialism within the Court of Protection field. 

My clients often seek advice at a highly emotional and stressful time in their lives. I aim to provide a compassionate and practical approach, ensuring that they feel supported throughout the steps that are needed to protect their loved ones.  

When supporting clients directly who have lost capacity, I recognise how difficult it can be to pass on the responsibility of administering their personal affairs to another. I therefore spend time getting to know them as individuals and build an empathetic relationship based on trust. 

Outside of work, I am kept busy in supporting my husband in the running of our dairy farm and raising our two young children. When time, I love to socialise with friends and family and play the piano.
