Contentious Trusts and Probate
I am a Chartered Legal Executive Litigator (Civil Litigation) in the Contentious Trusts and Probate Team in Taunton.
Prior to joining Porter Dodson in February 2022, I worked within a litigation team at a law firm in Exeter.
I obtained my Law Degree (LLB Law (Hons) through The Open University, and subsequently completed the Fast-Track Graduate Diploma (Level 6 in Legal Practice) through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
Our team advises and represents individuals, charities, executors and trustees, both as claimants and defendants, in respect of contentious trust and probate matters. This includes challenges to the validity of a will or a trust document, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, disputes involving executors and trustees, and claims relating to beneficial interests in property.
I understand the sensitivity often involved in contentious probate matters, and the importance of keeping clients informed throughout in a clear, compassionate and understandable manner.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, spending time with my family and friends, and I am also a (very) proud cat owner!
