Family
I joined Porter Dodson in August 2026 as a Senior Associate. Prior to this, I qualified and worked at a national firm based in Exeter, and I have now practiced private family law for 7 years. I am a member of Resolution, which supports my commitment to resolving matters with an amicable and collaborative approach.
I provide specialist advice on all aspects of private children law and domestic abuse matters. I regularly advise parents in disputes concerning where a child should live and the frequency of time with the other parent, as well as in cases where a parent wishes to relocate with their child, whether within the UK or internationally.
My practice encompasses applications for specific issue orders for significant decisions affecting children, such as name changes and schooling, and prohibited steps orders to prevent unilateral actions, such as removal from the jurisdiction or changes in schooling. I am also frequently instructed in matters concerning injunctive relief, including non-molestation orders to protect clients and/or their children. Many of the cases I handle are complex, often involving allegations of domestic abuse, substance misuse, alienating behaviours, or implacable hostility.
I understand how sensitive and complex private law cases are, and my clients often comment on my compassionate yet constructive approach. Clients also value my warm and approachable manner, which fosters trust and puts them at ease, even during the most challenging times.
I always keep the focus on the children, who are at the heart of every case. Recognising that clients will remain parents long after my involvement, I work hard to resolve disputes outside of court wherever possible to preserve co-parenting relationships. Where out-of-court resolutions are not possible, I offer robust, supportive and experienced representation.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at home in Cornwall with my partner and our Swiss Shepherd, Finn. I love walking the South West Coast Path, discovering hidden beaches, and seeking out the best coffee and pastries! I am also a keen surfer and volunteer with the Wave Project.
