    The Role

    We have a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated HR Advisor to join our friendly and supportive HR team. Reporting directly to the Head of HR, this is a varied and interesting role where you will provide HR generalist support alongside managing non-complex ER cases. This role will play a pivotal part in implementing various new and ongoing HR project initiatives and will provide operational HR support across the firm at all levels, ensuring the wellbeing of employees.

    Based in our Yeovil office, this is a full-time, permanent position with an element of flexibility to occasionally work from home. The role will also require some travel between our southwest offices.

    • Support the Head of HR in developing and driving people plans and provide HR guidance to managers and employees on the application and interpretation of policies and procedures.

    • Provide advice and guidance in respect of non-complex employee relations matters; including disciplinary, absence management, contractual amendments, flexible working arrangements, maternity, paternity and family leave policies.

    • Using available data to identify metrics and trends to help make informed decisions across a wide range of HR areas.

    • Contribute to Learning and Development initiatives including training needs analysis.

    • To support employee engagement activities and initiatives.

    • Contribute to health and wellbeing and employee benefits initiatives.

    • Contribute to policy review and development.

    • Ensure details and comprehensive filing system is maintained.

    • Participate and contribute to ad-hoc HR projects.

    About You

    This role would suit someone who has excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible, warm approach, with the ability to build lasting relationships. The ideal candidate will be part or full CIPD qualified (at any level), will have two years’ HR advisory experience providing support across the full employee lifecycle with experience in non-complex employee relations matters. More technical requirements include excellent IT skills including the use of Microsoft office and Outlook and Excel and HR systems. Additional Skills and experience:

    • Thorough understanding of HR processes and procedures with the ability to advise and influence at all levels.

    • Ability to take a flexible approach and to adapt where necessary.

    • Full or part CIPD qualified (any level).

    • Knowledge of employment law and ability to implement this practically.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills.

    • Impeccable organisational skills with ability manage own workload effectively.
