As we commented in a previous blog post, chancel repair liability still continues to cause headaches for property lawyers and owners.
The legislators are now taking steps to abolish chancel repair liability with a Bill being successfully introduced to the House of Lords.
This is a step in the right direction, but it remains to be seen whether enough time can be found for the Bill to pass through the Lords and the House of Commons.
