Commercial Property Solicitor– Permanent, Full Time, Taunton

    Role Introduction:

    To assist with the current workload and play a key role in developing and expanding the Firm’s client base in the relevant area of practice.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Undertake with minimal supervision varied, high-quality caseload, including:

      • Commercial Leases (acting for landlords, tenants, and funders)

      • Property Development (options; conditional contracts; promotional agreements and overages, together with planning and infrastructure agreements)

      • Purchase and sale of business and investment portfolios (working alongside corporate team on business disposals and acquisitions

      • Finance and refinance

      • All aspects of work relating to renewables

    • Develop and expand department’s client base by identifying and targeting opportunities that will realise a strategic focus towards securing and building new relationships/quality work

    • Actively network and raise profile of the Firm locally, attending local functions and community events

    • Identify, develop and maintain key relationships with local quality business sources

    • Develop strong client relationships and conduct effective case and transaction management in accordance with the client’s instructions and all appropriate law and practice

    • Achieve financial KPIs including fee income, recording of chargeable time, and management of lock-up

    • Nurture existing client relationships and demonstrate understanding of clients’ needs

    • Demonstrate technical excellence

    • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the obligations relating to the SAR

    • Actively promote the image and ethos of the Firm

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Maximum 7 years PQE

    • Appreciation of appropriate pricing and commerciality

    • Business development aptitude

    • Effective written and verbal communication skills

    • Excellent IT skills

    • Strong interpersonal skills

    • Demonstrate enthusiasm

    • Highly driven
