I am a Chartered Accountant and qualified in one of the “Big Four” accountancy firms in London. I gained treasury experience with a Blue Chip multi-national and have held line management roles in SMEs, including that of managing director.
I joined Porter Dodson in January 2000 and became a partner in 2014. I was responsible for the day to day operations of a number of support teams within the firm and have particular expertise in financial security, internal control, planning, funding, treasury and IT systems.
These skills and experience helped the firm maintain its financial security and stability through periods of wider economic turmoil and helped it deliver the sustainable growth enjoyed by the firm as well as ensure we have provided long term support to our clients. It also helped to ensure that we handle our clients’ own money in a fast but secure manner.
As part of the long term planning for my retirement on 30 April 2020, the firm appointed Penny Owens as Finance Director. I am now acting as a consultant to the firm, a role that allows me to provide support and experience.
