After training in London and working in Kent for a period, I joined Porter Dodson in 1988 with a civil and criminal case load. I then began to concentrate on family law and now specialise in children cases, both private law (residence and contact disputes) and public law (care proceedings). I undertake most of the advocacy as well as running cases from the outset, backed up by our excellent Family team. I am based in Yeovil but cover Bridgwater, Taunton and all surrounding areas.
Children cases can be stressful and my priority is to help you through yours in a sensitive and constructive way, advising on the law but also supporting you through the court process. I offer a personal service enabling you to talk about the things that are worrying you and can be available to meet with you at any of our offices or a location that is easiest for you.
I have much experience of working closely in local Courts and in cases with the Local Authority. This can help to progress your case and offer great advantage where co-operation is often productive and helpful, but if necessary, being ready to challenge the position of the Local Authority and Social Services.
