Lucy Horsington

I qualified as a Solicitor in 1999, working for a firm in Reading. During this time I studied to become a member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), qualifying in 2004. I also joined Solicitors For the Elderly.

I have considerable experience in drafting Wills and advising on Inheritance tax planning and asset preservation. I deal with all aspects of estate administration, advise on trusts, prepare powers of attorney and undertake Court of Protection work. I joined Porter Dodson in January 2005.

My practical experience and knowledge means that I can help and encourage my clients in planning for the future, whether during their lifetimes and/or on death. I can support families and friends at worrying times and can help ease the stress of ill health and bereavement, by dealing with practical and financial issues in a quiet and efficient way.

Having lived and worked in the area for many years, I have developed and maintain good relations and contacts which can assist clients, especially those new to the area. For example, accountants, IFAs, estate agents, social workers, care home managers, auctioneers and undertakers.
