We’re sending our Chairman to Scotland on a bike!

For Stephen Wray, road bike fanatic, solicitor, and Chairman of Porter Dodson Solicitors, the 9th September is going to be a monumental day.

Stephen is joining with seven other members of Taunton Round Table as the LEJOG 2017 team and will be cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats. The team will be cycling for 12 days, covering over 930 miles and climbing over 43,000 feet.

The LEJOG team are training hard on the roads, and especially the hills, of Somerset. The photo above was Stephen last week training with fellow team member Chris Barrington of NatWest Bank behind him, as they began the long-haul past Wiveliscombe and into West Somerset.

The team will be raising funds for a variety of very deserving charities. Stephen is splitting his money between Children’s Hospice South West and the League of Friends at Musgrove Park Hospital, which is the charity of the year for the Taunton offices of Porter Dodson.

The team has been undertaking various fundraising activities and if the thought of joining them on their ride doesn’t appeal, how about helping them raise funds?

    How you can help

Make a Donation: Sponsor Stephen on his Virgin Giving page, and check on his and fellow team members fundraising pages. If you can gift aid your donation, even better.

Attend a LEJOG pub quiz: Join the team at The George in Middlezoy at 7pm on Sunday 3rd September for a pub quiz. £10 entry for a team of four. Prizes for the winners and a raffle.

Send them on their way from Taunton: The team will spend the second night of their ride at home in Taunton before being sent off from the Blackbrook Business Park, where some of the riders work, on 12th September after a networking breakfast held at the offices of NatWest. Colleagues and fundraisers from the charities being supported will be making a noise at 9am to help them on their way.
