Porter Dodson has appointed a new partner to its family team.
Cathryn Smith joined the firm in 2015 and works in the Yeovil office with some 75 staff, where she has also recently taken over the role of office head.
She advises on financial claims following divorce, pre and post-marriage planning, and private children work. Cathryn has particular expertise in advising on complex financial claims involving business assets, trust and pension benefits, as well as the particular challenges faced by the agricultural community.
Cathryn said: “I am delighted to have this opportunity to join the partners of Porter Dodson. Porter Dodson’s success comes from placing clients’ needs at the heart of all it does. I enjoy getting the very best results for my clients, both within the local community and further afield, and my team here is working hard to help grow the business still further.”
Robert Fox, Managing Partner, said: “Cathryn is a great asset to the partner team in Yeovil and her promotion is the well-deserved recognition of her hard-work, commitment and real expertise. She has been instrumental in the development of staff and has successfully raised the profile of the team in the surrounding area, working alongside her fellow family partner, Beverley Rockliff, to deliver a fantastic service.”
