Money raised for Mosaic by Dorchester office

Dorset charity, Mosaic, has been presented with a cheque by Porter Dodson.

Employees at the Dorchester office held regular fundraising events and activities, such as Christmas jumper day, bake sales and Office Olympics, to raise money, which was then match funded by the Partners to bring the total to £888.40.

Mosaic is a Dorset-wide charity offering a pathway of support to bereaved children, young people and their families and they also work with young people who are facing the death of a loved one. They provide individual, family and group support.

Karen Hay, Mosaic’s Events and Corporate Fundraiser, said: “Grief affects us all, but many children and young people experience higher levels of depression, an increase in health problems, poorer school performance, anxiety and lower self-esteem. Listening to children and answering their questions honestly in an age appropriate way helps them to understand the emotions they are experiencing. With the fundraising help of Porter Dodson, Mosaic can provide individual counselling, activity days, social events and residential weekend courses. I’d like to thank them again for their wonderful support.”

Richard Baker, Porter Dodson’s Dorchester Office Head, said: “I’m pleased we’ve been able to raise this money to help Mosaic. This charity does a wonderful job helping local families and their loved ones when it’s needed the most. I’d like to thank everyone who took part in our events and donated.”
