On the 15th June 1970, the day after England lost to West Germany in Mexico, Nick Hansford joined law firm Porter Dodson's Yeovil office as a trainee Legal Executive and 10 tournaments later he is now celebrating his 40th year with the firm.

Nick joined Porter Dodson after leaving school at 16 and recalls, "I actually went to my interview after school one day in my uniform and had to leave my satchel with a friend who waited for me in St John's churchyard."

Nick got the job and began his training to become a Legal Executive.  He has worked in the Firm's Wills, Probate, Tax and Trust department since qualifying in the 1970's and has developed a loyal client base over the years, advising generations of local families.

Nick adds, "The time has flown by and I honestly feel that's because I enjoy what I do - it's not always an easy time in people's lives when they come to see me but I hope I'm able to help make their situation a little easier.  Working for one of the largest law firms in the area has also meant I've been able to develop my professional skills and Porter Dodson has been very supportive of my career."

Nick continues, "I would like to thank my clients, colleagues and professional contacts for their good wishes and look forward to continue working with them in the future."

Nick is a lifelong supporter of Yeovil Town Football Club and was himself a player for a number of years; initially in the Yeovil Youth League and latterly with Yeovil Athletic.
