Cycling… Some warm weather training

After a couple of months on the turbo trainer (see Cara Hough’s blog of 17 March 2016), I decided to follow in the illustrious footsteps of Sir Bradley Wiggins, Sir Chris Hoy et al., and embark on some warm weather training.

It is not as pleasurable as you would hope as sometimes the coffee was too hot to drink.

Once I managed to get over that particular hurdle, the location in Lanzarote was ideal with smooth roads, considerate drivers and pleasant weather. I’m not sure what the attraction is but there we have it.

I returned full of hope and anticipation for the C2C. Having been part of this event previously, I know it is gruelling for the part time, unfit, keen amateur but great fun. It also raises funds for a very worthwhile local charity. However, last weekend I cycled in Wales through rain, hail and snow. I think I may have frostbite.

Can anyone tell me the most accurate long range weather forecast, please?
